Through the Nuclear Training Courses (NTC), the PNRI is able to conduct training courses in the field of nuclear science and technology, radiation safety, and non-destructive testing techniques.

PNRI operates the following irradiation facilities: the Cobalt-60 Multipurpose Irradiation Facility (MIF), the Gammacell-220 and the Electron Beam Irradiation Facility (EBIF). PNRI extends the use of these facilities to various clients for food irradiation, medical products sterilization and for research purposes.

The Nuclear Analytical Techniques Application (NATA) Section provides analytical services for radioactivity measurements and elemental determinations.

Ionizing radiation is now widely used in our country in various fields of human endeavour. It is therefore necessary for PNRI to continuously provide radiation protection services to authorized users of radiation and radioactive materials in the country.

The Nuclear Regulatory Division (NRD) performs the regulatory function of PNRI in licensing and regulating the possession and use of nuclear and radioactive materials and facilities, as mandated by Republic Acts 2067 and 5207, both as amended, and Executive Order 128 for the protection of the workers and the general public.

This section includes appointment for other services such as Microbiological and Cytogenetic Analyses.
